I added firefox browser from a cd, but the version I was loading was not
compatible with windows xp. I removed it from my computer, but was not able
to connect to the internet by using the www button on the top of my keyboard.
When I loaded the firefox browser. I was prompted to make it my default
browser. Not sure if this has anything to do with it? I can connect to the
internet via my desktop, but would like to be able to use the button on my
keyboard.

Typically there is a program included with these keyboards that allows you
to configure exactly which program opens when a certain key is pressed. I
suggest taking a look for it on the manufacturer's web site.

Hi,

You may want to consider using System Restore to go back to a point
before FF was installed.

Try setting IE as the default browser in Internet Options (or Set Program Access And Defaults). I suspect Firefox still is. That is there is probably nothing wrong with the key part (it is probably trying to start your default browser - firefox).
