I have Vista Home Premium and am using the latest Microsoft Keyboard version
for the wireless multimedia keyboard. I have the buttons set up for opening
email, documents, etc. but they are not working. All of the keyboard
buttons work and the "sleep" button on the upper right work, as well as the
volume buttons, but that is it. Please help if you can!

Thanks!

Special keys require a driver for general tasks or the program to be
programmed to accept the key. EG Volume is recognised by the system, but
first it is given to the active application, so it can adjust the volume in
the program if it recognises the key, if not, Windows adjusts the master
volume. But Windows can't guess what to do for all the keys (volume a pretty
simple command to act on).

So install the software and configure it.
