Intellitype problems?

T

Tim

Hi there,

Vista Home Premium with MS Natural Wireless Keyboard with Intellitype 6.1
all of a sudden my top keys stopped working My Docs, My Pics etc but I think
the Volume buttons worked so uninstalled Intellitype 6.1 and reinstalled 6.1
all worked well except the Volume buttons didn't work.

So uninstalled 6.1 installed 6.1 again still all buttons bar the Volume ones
work.

Now if when the computer has not completely booted up I press the Volume
buttons
they work but then the other top buttons don't very strange.

Computer is a Dell E520.

Any thoughts on how I might fix this?

Many thanks, Tim.

The intellitype System should be matched in two categories.
One is partnered with your ISP/ find out who gives your
area the best electronics package. This may not be local.
NBC, ABC, even cinema companies may have the exact
structure link that keeps your home updated. People often
forget that the electronic field of a home is valuable. This
is a unity package that defends communities from terrors.
The signal itself is based on protection from invaders and
so is the recipe for the proper equipment for wear and
tear. That is your local production that is right and works
with the water condition that is really in action. Get the
local good product.

Hope this helps

Hi there,

What are you on about?

Tim.

Hi, Tim.

Mike's Reply started off sensibly enough, but got more weird as it went on,
didn't it? ;^{

Was this Vista and this keyboard all a part of the original equipment from
Dell? If so, then contact Dell Tech Support or the vendor who sold the
package to you.

With a wireless keyboard and/or mouse, you may need to re-sync the
connection between the device and the wireless receiver. For my desktop
set, there is a button on the receiver and matching buttons on the KB and
mouse. I need to re-sync these now and then, sometimes because of failing
or replacing batteries and sometimes for no apparent reason at all.

An updated driver MAY be available and MAY cure the problem - but no
guarantees. Some of my long-standing gripes (and those of others I've seen
posted in several places for years) have still not been fixed in the latest
drivers I can find. (For example, in Quicken, when I'm looking at a Report
onscreen, I can scroll UP, but not DOWN, with the scroll wheel.) But here's
where to start looking:
Download Mouse and Keyboard Software
http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/mouseandkeyboard/Download.mspx

The latest driver package shown there for my Microsoft Wireless Laser
Desktop 6000 is IntelliPoint 6.2 (64bit) for Windows Vista,
IP64Eng6.20.182.0.exe, which I already have installed. When I try to
install it again, Vista says it's already installed and I'll have to
uninstall it before I can install it again. Device Manager says my
IntelliType version is 6.10.155.0, dated 11/2/2006, and IntelliPoint is
version 6.20.178.0, dated 8/28/2007. Your version numbers are probably
slightly different.

My volume buttons work fine - but sometimes I realize late in the day that
I've forgotten to turn on my speakers today. :^}
