Wireless Desktop Erratic

Earthlink News

I'm having trouble with my M/S wireless photo desktop keyboard and mouse.
Everything installed fine, and worked normally. It's installed on a new
Dell XPS 600 with XP Media Center Edition, SP2.

However, a dozen times a day, the keyboard and mouse system stops
functioning. The only solution that works is to unplug the USB connector,
wait a few minutes, replug it in, then resync the receiver and mouse.

I've put the wired keyboard and mouse back in place, this $100 better idea
from M/S isn't living up to expectations.

I think you are not alone. Many are having trouble with this wireless
kb and mouse. I returned one for the very same reason. No fiddling
with the reciever location made any difference whatsoever. You might
check the USB root hubs and turn off any power save mode. This made no
difference for me. The logitech combo I use now has never disconnected.
