Wireless Desktop erratic

Wireless Desktop Standard UK 1000 Keyboard and Mouse keep Freezing after
some erratic times.

If disconnected from USB and reconnected, sometimes work again.

Most of the time needs a reboot.

The brand new unit is 100% unreliable.

Changing USB Ports does not seem to make any difference.

Setting the Power Management in Device Manager usb to Not Allow to turn off
the device, does not help.

Have your tried to use fresher batteries???

Yes, the Batteries are Brand new and read over 1.6 v on the voltmeter.

Unless they are aged with a very high internal resistance, they should
provide enough current.

And it affects both Keyboard and mouse.

At times it works perfectly well.

But this is destined for a person who is not technically minded.

And if this erratic behaviour happens, he would have been better off with
wired desktop.

Of course, it could be the Windows USB which is erratic.
