Is there any Wireless Compact Flash card available for use with XPe? I
have the CF adapter built onto the motherboard.

Sorry for very generic reply but how about just googling for wireless compact flash cards for XP Pro?
Those will certainly work under XPe.

relevant. Most CFs WiFi are designed for PDAs.

Anyways, I bought a Netgear PCI based WiFi card. Now I'm trying to
compentize the drivers. The product manual says that I must install
drivers first and then install the card on XP Pro. Do I have to follow
the same path for XPe? My XPe image is custom shell based with no user
interaction.

Yup. PDAs is a big area for use of WiFi cards.
However, most of the manufacturers supply drivers for 9X/2K/XP (at least for thier card to be used with Compact Flash to PCMCIA
adapters).

No, I don't think it is the actual requirement to not have the card during FBA. Assuming you properly componentized the driver, it
should install it with the hardware present during FBA.
Just give it a shot :-) If doesn't work, take a look at FBALog and SetupApi.log to see what the errors were.
