Wiping is just another term that is used in place
of "formating". But the best way to do it with windows
xp is to boot from cd, and then from the cd you can
format.
Do you just want to soft format and create some new partions to reinstall
xp, or do you want to destroy the data, something like the manufacturers
diagnostic read/write test would do.
