Am using Windows XP Professional. For the past two days I am unable to use
WinZip 12.1. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing it but without
success. The zipped folders are not associated with the programme. I shall
appreciate if I can be guided to recitfy this problem.

Thanking you in advance,

I you right click on a .zip file and select properties it will probably
say "opens with explorer". You can select "change" and choose from what
programs may be on that list, e.g. WinZip.

Hmm, sounds like File Associations are mixed up. If it was working and
stopped, it's either corruption or malware on your machine. It might be
easiest to start with just to reinstall winzip because it's easy and
quick to do. That will straighten out the associations plus anything
else that might be corrupted. If it doesn't fix it, or it breaks again,
then you'll have to go looking for malware to get rid of, IMO.

If you paid for WinZip then follow the advice of others. I you just installed it on
their Try It install then this is to be expected when the free Trial period expires.
And no you are not able to install it (free trial version) again as so it will work.

Thanks for all the advice. I am using it as a registered user and as already
mentioned I have uninstalled and re-installed without any effect. Not only
that a new WinZip file does not open when I click the exe file.
