winXP won't open my *.wps files how do I convert?

AH you need WORD to open WordPerfect doc's. XP is a operating system and
does not come with MS Office programs.

First, note that a wps file is *not* a WordPerfect doument; it's
a Microsoft Works text document.

Second, you certainly don't need Word to open WordPerfect
documents. WordPerfect works very well for that purpose. ;-)
