On newer computers you can set a power on time in the CMOS settings
(BIOS). Check this setting for your computer. For details about the
CMOS settings, read the manual for the machine.
Also see "Windows XP Restarts Unexpectedly or Restarts When You Shut
Down the Computer" (http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=320299).

Hi Robert,

It sounds like your BIOS is set to wake on ring or wake on LAN. You might
want to check that out.

HTH, JAX

Some, like my new workstation, even has wake on keyboard and/or mouse.
