WinXP newsgroup "resuscitated"...

It seems to me it's much easier to fill replies with condescension, vitriol
and insults rather than to "suggest" to people or make [even] an attempt to
be polite (and I'm talking about people with knowledge who should know
better!)....

For my own part, it seems to take more patience than I possess to resist
answering back to some.....

I have to admit that I was not aware that a number of formerly
microsoft-hosted newsgroups were being also hosted by "nntpaioe.org" for a
number of years.

From time to time I have to answer people who have got some of their facts
wrong, but don't condescend or otherwise use language obviously designed to
intimidate.

You obviously do not rate politeness too highly in your life, or maybe you
have so many friends you are determined *not* to make any more...

I don't consider my answer to be either condescending, impolite, or
intimidating. It was simply the answer. I didn't think mollycoddling
was necessary.

This is probably not the place for you if you can't stand to be
corrected occasionally. It will surely happen again to you if you hang
around for any length of time.
