When I recently upgraded from IE6 to IE7 I seemed to lose
the resolution I was used to on my monitor.

Everything looked a bit blurrier and more undefined than I
was used to.

Can anybody please tell me if this can be rectified without
buying a new graphics card?

Regards,
Per Ødegaard.

Do a search in IE7 help for Clear Type and follow instructions on how to
remove it..

I've done this - removed the tick for ClearType - and I think it works.
Many thanks!

Pleased that it worked for you.. I had to do the same thing.. even the Clear
Type Tuner made no difference for me..

Mike,
Another thing that's changed since the installation of IE7, and which may
belong in a different Newsgroup (please let me know which), is that when I
press Send/Receive in Outlook Express, sending messages with the connection
Local Area Network (as used for my normal email accounts) is not acceptable.
I have to set it to my mail account connection _or_ remove the tick from
Always connect to (etc) (under Tools > Acounts > Internet Accounts >
Connection).

It has been a long time since I use OE as a mail reader.. I use it only as a
newsreader accessed through Outlook..

Right click the 'msnews.microsoft.com' header in the column on the left of
your OE window, then select newsgroups and subscribe to..

'microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlookexpress'
