WINXP HOME NOT READING OR USING 4GIGs RAM?

Greetings,

Only 2 tweeks were ever done to this OS, Under "Performance
Options" I changed "Visual Effects" to "Adjust for Best
Performance", and also I added paging files to drive "C" and
"D" setting them on "System Managed Size".

My problem is memory related... I've been running this PC on 1 gig
[2-512Mb] of dual 266MHz DDR PC2100 DIM CL2.5 of RAM. Recently I
started doing a lot of graphics work on large 46mb files and kept
running out of memory. I use 3 different software programs and it
happens to every one, it is not a 3rd party issue.

I removed the 2-512 Mb boards and replaced with 4 matched, tested, 1
gig boards increasing my PC to 4 gigs. But it seems WinXP w/Service
Pack 2 is having a problem seeing and allocating the 4 gigs because I
run out of memory just as fast. I've even left "Systems >
Performance" running and noticed that when the window pops-up up
saying ''insufficient memory'', there is still plenty of gigs of memory
available.

BELOW: CMOS shows the 4+gigs, "Systems" only shows 3.37 gigs,
"Task Manager" only shows 3.53 gigs, While "System Information"
shows 4.09gigs with only 2.87gig available. I also included a copy of
my "boot.ini" folder since it's talked about a lot with WinXP and
memory.

Could someone please help with this problem?

Given the PCI address area being unusable and the onboard video taking
it's chunk of memory out, I'd say the numbers are right in the ballpark.

I have tried the /PAE Switch in the past with no change. My hang-up
with it was that my 'boot.ini' file has a /NoExecute=OptIn switch which
I was told not to remove.

This is my original boot.ini >

I have changed it to this copy, after boot-up all values were the same
as before [no change]. But I'll try putting some heavy loads on it and
see if I run out of memory [or so windows says]

ERROR IN ORIGINAL POST'''

My 'VIDEO AGP VOODO 6 NVIDIA 256MG Onboard' is an AGP Card with 256mgs
of RAM built into the card [Not from the MB]. I Only have CMOS Set at
64mgs for video. All ONBOARD hardware is disabled except for my
Ethernet connection to my Cable company..........
