WinXP Home - Dial up requires operator assistance...

WinXP Home - Dial up requires operator assistance and
I've set it not to do that.

When I first started working on this computer for a
friend, I found that it was configured to 'Prompt for
phone Number'. I unchecked that and rebooted but it still
requires that I pick up the receiver, dial the number,
click on OK, then hang up. It works when I do that but,
naturally, that's not what my friend wants.

Does anyone know how I can get XP to dial the number
automatically (assuming the Usrname & Password are OK)
when I dbl click on the dial up, which is the default?

Thanks!

If you are doing this with his ISP's software, it that software that is at
issue and you'd need to contact his ISP's tech support as this wouldn't be
an XP issue.
