OK, all ready to set a friend up on to dial-up with BT as their ISP.
BT say my friend needs no software to get connected & have given them just a code/password.
Surely they should get the relevant BT ISP software to enable them to connect to the net??
I've only dealt with BB in the last few years, is dial-up different these days???

Any help/advice most welcome as i have to set it up tomorrow (Friday)

[And yes i know BB is faster, but for the time being my friend had decided to go dial-up to begin with]

Your friend requires a dial-up (56K) modem connected to his/hers computer. Then connect to the phone line and then right click on that Connection Control/Port and there should be an option like: 'Connect' (I think) in bold; click this and then input the details provided by BT ...and BAM you're connected.
