Winsrv is a component of the Friendly Greetings "program" which is
ostensibly an online greeting card but which at least some of the
major antivirus software companies have classed as a virus.

See

for further details about this.

Good luck

The post about the friendgreet.worm is not quite accurate. The
problem is due to a corrupted hive. To fix, one would need to run the
repair off of the operating system's installation disk.

The files indicated in the friendgreet.worm are slightly different:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Media\Winsrvc.dat
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Media\Winsrvc.exe

Hope this helped,

Rayna
