WInsock missing

i am having problims and went into the regedit and deleted winsock and
winsock2 then restarted computer winsock2 came back but winsock didn't...Why?

Why would you do something like that? Click start>run in the run box type
cmd then press enter. At the command prompt type these 2 commands one at a
time and press enter after each command. Reboot when told to.

netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt

netsh winsock reset
