WINS PROBLEM

hello,

on my win2k server i have 2network adapters, a ethernet card (192.168.0.10)
and a wlan adapter (192.168.1.10). because they are in different subnets
they cant see eachother but ping works fine. no problem so far. cos i want
them to see eachother i set up a WINS server on my server. the IP i am using
for the wins server is 192.168.1.10 and i distribute this ip also via dhcp
to all other clients in both subnets. netbios is activated on all adapters
in the network. all computers are registered and appear in the wins server
registrations dialogue. but i still cant see the computers from the otgher
subnet in the network neighborhood. can anybody help or knows a good site
about configuring a WINS server?

thanks for your help

just tried that but when i deleted the old wins server and set up the new
one with the ip of the internal NIC , after a few seconds it changed back to
the ip of the wlan adapter :-(
dchp is already on internal adapter and braodcasting wins server
192.168.1.10, type 0x8 (hybrid) to wlan clients. well like i said everything
works fine like internet sharing, ping etc. expect network neighborhood!
oh, do you know if the routing and ras functionality of w2k server only
aloows use of dial on demand connections to the internet? cos im on dial up
and would like to use my regular connections.

Did you make the WINS server a client of itself?
And all other servers or anything with a FIXED IP
address?

How is your DNS-server setup?
Is your internal nic on top in the bindings and there should be no gateway
in it. DNS-numbers should point to your DNS-server on both internal and
external nic.

no it is for normal LAN connection. the isdn adapter in the server is for
internet connection.
