Winoows Mail Junk E-Mail Folder Mystery

B

Bad Bart

Hello,

Over the weekend, my Windows Junk E-mail Folder mysteriously started not
filling up. On a usual day, I used to get maybe 20-30 pieces of spam, and
they were always smoothly sent off to the Junk E-mail Folder. Now at times
there is no junk mail or, when there is, there are only 4 or 5 pieces at a
time. Normally I'd be thrilled not to be inundated, but occasionally mail is
sent mistakenly to the Junk E-mail Folder, and I'd like to be able to
retrieve it if necessary. So:

Am I in fact receiving junk mail but it's just not "registering"?

If so, how do I get to see it again, like I always could before?

I notice that the Junk E-mail folder itself now has a small red
slash-in-circle on it. I don't recall seeing that before this behavior. Is
it related to my issue and, if so, how do I set things right?

Many thanks for any and all responses!

Click Tools | Junk E-mail Options and see if any of them have changed.

Chances are, your ISP has made some adjustment at the server level,
which resulted in more of the spam being stopped at the server.

Thanks. I checked my Junk Mail Option settings and nothing seemed to have
changed. I tried altering the settings, but the behavior was still the same.
Thanks again, then, for the likely suggestion that my ISP has made some
server adjustment.
