Winnt.sif from a bootable CD?

Everywhere I've read, it say that you can only put the
winnt.sif file on a floppy. It would be so much better if
I could just include it on my bootable cd. Is this
possible? I did see that on page 2 of the introduction of
the unattend.doc it states that it is, but doesn't go into
detail. Is this a misprint or just an over-looked,
obscure detail that's not documented anywhere?

As far as I know, there aren't any real Microsoft docs on doing this.

Fortunately, I've cobbled together some of my own:
