WinMgmt.exe

I keep getting a pop up that says Problem Error
WinMgmt.exe has generated errors and will be closed by
windows.you wiil need to restart the program.An error log
is being created.what is wrong and how can I correct it?
Any help would be appreciated.

Try this:



1. stopped the winmgmt service.

2. back up and then delete the files in the %systemroot%\system32\wbem\repository

3. reboot the system and restart the winmgmt service.

Karin: I posted the same problem a day or two before Alan did. I
have no idea how to stop and start the winmgmt service, so I just
renamed the files in that directory and rebooted. That seems to have
fixed the problem. Thanks.
