winmgmt.exe erro

The error message "WinMgmt.exe has generated errors and
will be closed by windows. You will need to restart the
program. An error log is being created." then there is an
ok/cancel button to close the window. This message keeps
popping up for no apparent reason and when I tried to
terminate it from the tast manager it would not allow me
to terminate the process. Has anyone run across this
problem and can you tell me how to manage it? Thanks.

have you installed the latest SP? see here:
