winmail.dat frustration

Rick Smith

This winmail.dat issues has me perplexed. Does anybody know how to
send HTML emails through Outlook and avoid the winmail.dat attachment
issues? I have been seriously evaluating other email clients since
this issue has not been resolve since Outlook 98.

The only solution found through my web search was sending plain text
email, which does not suffice for this inquiry.

Please let me know if anyone has found other workarounds or how you
deal with this issue.

If you receive a message with winmail.dat tell the sender to swith to HTML
or Plain Text format.
If you are sending out winmail.dat attachments you are not using HTML but
Rich Text.
