wink2k server standard edition - clustering

Hi!

I'm new to clustering. Anyone can advise me on how to configure clustering
between 2 win2k server standard editon. The main objective is to hv a backup
for one of our existing sql server 2000 stardard edition running on win2k
server std edition. Pls advise. Thks!

First, Upgrade to Windows 2000 Advanced Server because Windows 2000 Standard
Edition is not cluster capable out of the box. : )

Next, Upgrade SQL Server 2000 Standard to SQL 2000 Enteprise, because it too
does not support clustering.

Once you have done that, then it is easier. I would suggest that as long as
you are in need of clustering that you upgrade to Windows 2003 Enterprise.
Clustering works better and is easier to manage.
