wininet.dll ; error while trying to receive streaming audio or vi

When I try to get streaming audio or video from IE6.0 or via WMP 9 series, I
get the message, "IE has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are
sorry for the inconvenience." AppName: iexplore.exe AppVer: 6.0.2900.2180
ModName: wininet.dll
ModVer: 6.0.2900.2180 Offset: 00078d5b

I have SP2 installed. I ran a full system virus scan, ran AdAware, Spybot
and CW Shredder - all came up negative. When I created a new user account,
the error resolved. How can I fix my old account? Thanks, JP
