WinHlp32.exe installation problem vista business

hi! i hope that someone can help me. i need the winhlp32.exe on my windows
vista business pc to open 32-bit-help files. i downloaded the file
Windows6.0-KB917607-x86.msu and started the installation. but then, windows
vista said "the update is not available for your system". but it is the right
one. is there a trick to install the package? thanks for every help. stefan

Are you sure you are not running Vista 64-bit? You never said what version
you have.

i have the 32-bit version and downloaded the 32-bit installation file. there
is a 64-bit installation file to....

I get the error message also, but the reason is that it is already installed.
Did you check the installed update list?

hey, thanks for the help!! i saw that the update was already installed on
16.5.07.... so now i found out that the problem is when i open programs (help
files) from our server. the local help files work! thanks!
 
No, it is an Windows 2003 R2 SP1 Server in english. The help and support
service isn't runnig. So, should the service run? I only need to open
help-files from the vista machine over the network share....

If you don't need it, no. I thought it does not work at all.
