WINFILE

IN WINDOWS 98 AND OTHER WINDOWS SYSTEM, THE EASIEST WAY TO
MOVE FILES AROUND WAS WINFILE. XP DOES NOT HAVE THIS
PROGRAM. CAN I ADD IT TO THE OPERATING SYSTEM? IT IS BY
FAR EASIER THAN WHAT IS ON THE XP SYSTEM.

THANKS

PLEASE DO NO SHOUT! More polite and easier to read if you use upper and
lower case letters.

XP doesn't provide the Winfile program from old Windows. Get a copy
from an older machine and run it on XP. Shouldn't be a problem

Go to http://www.v-com.com/product/pd_free_trial.html and download the free
trial of PowerDesk. There's no time limit, but it does lack a few features that
the paid version has. But even the free version is better than Winfile.

Please don't yell at us. We can hear you if you type normally, in
mixed case.

The old winfile still works under Windows XP, although it doesn't
come with it. In my view, it is *far* inferior to Windows XP's
built-in Windows Explorer/My Computer, but each to his own.
Locate an old copy and install it on your computer.

If you don't like Windows Explorer/My Computer, there are lots
better choices to consider, such as PowerDesk.
