WinExplorer doesn't update contents

Hi there.

Win2K SP4.
My WinExplorer doesn't automatically update its contents unless I hit F5
"Refresh" or move to another folder then re-enter the req. folder.
The update behavior is rather strange sometimes. For ex., a folder has 50
files, then I select 10 files and delete them, the files actually deleted
but the first couple
of files' names still highlighted. If I D-click any of these files I got
error (naturally as the files were deleted). but they are still displayed in
the folder.
Hitting refresh or re-enter the folder, the contents are correctly updated.

Thanks,
Hosam

Does this only happen with the when you have that DOS application
that eats up all of your CPU time? If so, I believe this is normal
if your CPU is very busy.

Cheers!

No.. it happens most of the time.
Actually, (for the deletion example above), the behavior appearance relates
to the number
of files being deleted. That is, if just a couple of files, then they
correctly disappear from the folder... if the number of files is 10 or more,
then 2 or 3 files names still show up... if the number of files is 30 or
more, then
7 or 10 files names still show up. and so on.

Other example, if a file size is say 20KB, if I work with that file and save
the update occasionally, the file size
in the folder still show the old size until I refresh or re-enter the
folder.

Also, when the CD drive has a disk and explorer displays the disk title.. if
I eject the disk, the title remains.
Even after inserting a different disk, the old title still show up.
The disk title doesn't get corrected by either "Refresh" or closing all
explorer windows & reopen.

Thanks.
