windowx xp is closing problem (doesn't shut down)

Sometimes it takes really long to turn off windows xp.
Others simply doesn't shut down. The last screen I see
is windows is closing.

Today came and saw that screen (yesterday pressed shut down
and left)

What is the problem?
 
i had the same issue and saw another person just changed the auto update.
all you need to do is hit start and got to control panel open up the
security center and open where it says manage security settings for:
AUTOMATIC UPDATES. and choose download updates but let me choose when to
install.
HOPE IT WORKS FOR YOU TOO.
