Ok so when you installed winxp service pack 1 it didnt completely install
everything. You know when youre in install/remove software where it says add
remove xp components? Ok well i have installed service pack 2 but when i try
to add things such as internet info or indexing service it asks for cd but
then rejects it saying its the wrong windows version. So now what i go back
uninstall service pack 2 reinstall fully everything from service pack 1?? the
reinstall service pack 2? Which buy the way I dont have a copy of cause only
obtainable through win update. You cant fix service pack 2 in other words. Or
add pieces of service pack 1 to it. Why not make the windows so it installs
everything you need to begin with, I think the pc's, processors, hardware and
memory are up with the x's now . No need to save the space.

If you downloaded the SP2 update from MS you should have the downloaded file called KB835935-SP2-ENU on your hard drive. You can burn a CD that has a slipstreamed version of your SP1 disk & SP2 together using a program called AutoStreamer http://www.neowin.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=223562

It is very easy to setup. You can use this CD as a reinstall disk or a repair disk.

Create an installation CD slipstreamed with SP2.
