windowsXP Home start up...

Hello
It happened twice so far.
When I try to start my system and
just before the icons are about to show on the screen
everything stops. I can only see the wallpaper and that's all.No icons,no
quick start bar,nothing.Just the wallpaper.
When I restart the system everything is just fine I can start work.
I am really worry that something wrong is going on with my system.
Or may be I have got a virus or something!!!???
I run my Norton Antivirus and it did not find anything!!!
Can anyone tell me how can I deal with that.

Does it happen in safe mode? If not, try using msconfig to troubleshoot the
issue:

No need to worry. It's just some stupid background app or spyware you
can remove or disable. Your system is fine. Remove or disable the
garbage to fix your niggle. Most certainly NOT a virus. Links to
Anti-Spyware apps are available on my site. Use msconfig to tweak other
possible causes.

Hi Georgie,

Depends on many factores. Try going to the Task Manager and ending the
process on explorer.exe and re-running it. If that doesn't help, see if
anthing here does and good luck!
