WindowsXP Account Login/Symantec Virus/Adware Scan Problems

After running Symantec system scan it ID's numerous files it assessed as
adware and recommended deletion/quarantine. Recommendation followed,
however, now XP will not let ANY users log on to their accounts even in safe
mode. As soon as the user account begins to load it switches directly to the
logging out/saving settings display and returns to the account login window.

Confirm I am having the same problem.

only question now - how the H do I know the "...built-in Administrator
password to enter the Console." ?

Try leaving the password blank.

Thx for the suggestions. Ultimate long story short solution from Dell -
WinXP re-install.
