how do i reinstall a licensed copy of win XP if i
replaced my hard drive if the software can be reactivated
only once? does it mean buying another copy of xp?

You can activate as many times as you want, so long as it is on the same
machine. Just changing the HD should be no problem. At worst, you would have
to activate by phone, which is no big deal.

.
No, you should be able to install XP. When you try to
activate it, since you have changed hardware, you might
be given a screen that has about 30 numbers on it, and an
800 telephone number to call. Call them, give them the
numbers, and tell them that you have changed harddrives.
They will then give you the proper numbers to place in
the boxes to re-validate the new install.

Ed
