I want to download my pictures from my camera and now I
can not get XP to do so. XP use to pop-up a box with
icons and choices to choose from but now I cann't even
use the software that came with the camera. I have no
clue what is going on could some one asssist me with this
problem.

Hi

Have you tried uninstalling/re-installing the camera software to see if that helps?

no I did not do that yet,but does not explain why windows
will not open the choise box to see what I want to do.I
have gone into the properties of my drives and checked
the box to preform this action every time I use this
device any answers for this or reinstall the software tha
came with the camera!

I had the same problem. I solved it by adding a "card reader". It then is
looked at as an additional hard drive and you can plug your camer disk into
it and copy the pictures to any other drive. Much easier.

My only other recommendation don't reformat your card in the reader (you can
do that too). Do it in the camera after you have checked the pictures in the
computer.

I also recommend you set up at least another copy of the picture files on
another drive or better yet onto a CDR/RW to get them off the computer which
will eventually crash.
