Windows XP, Word 2007 and language inputs

Hi,
I am using Word 2007 over Windows XP.
I installed Office 2007 Proofing Tools for languages that were not supported
in Windows XP.

When I try to input text in Word, the language automatically switches to my
Keyboard Layout Language (English). Is there a way to change this misbehavior
? How can we ask Word to keep the input language ?

PS: I have tried (without success) the different options both in Word ("do
not detect language", "set default language") and in the "Microsoft Language
Settings Tool".

I have carefully read the webpage by Cindy Meister about solving the "input
language issues" but I still can not figure out how to solve my problem.

So are the languages newly added in Office 2007 supported on Office2007+XP ?

What languages are you talking about? I know, for instance, that XP
and Word2003 can't handle any scripts that were added to Unicode after
2001 or so, so even though Word2007 can, it may have to have Vista in
order to be able to.

I am using a spell checker for Occitan that works with Word 2007.

But you may be able to reproduce the problem with any of the languages which
are listed in the Word 2007 language list and which have been added in Vista:

The "script" for a big part of these languages is the very classical Latin
one (1252).

Do this simple test from your Word 2007 (running under XP): select "Lower
Sorbian", "Uper Sorbian", "Corsican", "Occitan"... as input languages... and
try to input some text in a newly created document, the language switches to
your keyboard layout language... no way to keep them as input language...
