Help!
I have recently updated windows xp but also i managed to crash my
computer to the extent that the only way i could kill it was to remove
the battery from my laptop so i dont know what the problem was caused
by. What keeps happening is that when i boot up i get into the log in
screen once i have entered my password it takes ages 'loading my
personal settings' then it displays my background and nothing else, no
start menu or icons. I can see and move my cursor and i can hit
ctrl+alt+del to bring up the task manager and shut it down but thats
it.
I have managed to boot up in safe mode and run check disk but it didnt
help. What could the problem be? how can i fix it?
Thanks
Rob
