When I right click on the desktop and then click on
"properties", the display box comes up. I am able to change
the Screen Saver, The appearance, however when I click on
the desktop tab and click "browse" to bring up my personal
photos to choose for a desktop wallpaper, a message pops up
the WINDOWS EXPLORER has encountered a problem and must
shut down giving me the option of sending or not sending an
error report. I have sent 3 error reports. What happens
next is the display box shuts down. This also happens when
I go to MY PC and try to open the folder containing these
photos. It is only with this folder that Windows Explorer
encounters a problem fbased on the other folders I have
checked. I have scanned for viruses, ad ware, etc and have
found no solution. Please help me. or I will never be able
to open my folder of pictures again! Thanks

Double click on my computer and select your drive and directory where
the files are located. I had Win2000 Professional's Explorer do the
same thing as you described. Never found out why this happened. This
was my work around.
