Windows XP will not start

Hi! I just came across this problem last night and don't know where to turn.
I keep getting a blue screen with a bunch of mumble jumble but it disappears
so quickly that I can't read it all. Then it brings me to another page,
telling me that Windows has encountered a problem, and this same page have
the Safe Mode option, etc. I tried reinstalling the Windows XP from a CD, and
something about partition and that it could not be completed. Before
reinstalling, I tried to repair it from the same CD, and that didn't help.
PLEASE HELP ME!!

Hi,

If I were you I'd start right from scratch.

Boot from your Windows CD. When you get the option, delete the existing
partition. Then recreate and format the new partition with NTFS.

Installation of XP should go on to your new partition, and hopefully no more
issues.

Don't forget that the above actions will get rid of any and all data, files
etc from your existing setup. You will need to reinstall your documents
etc. You do have backups I hope.

Also, don't forget to go to the Microsoft Update website and download all
the updates you will require.

Hope that helps.
