Windows XP Wi-Fi error - Help please

Hi all,

I have a rogue Windows XP box that refuses to connect to a wireless network.
It did at one stage (some months ago). It was then not used for a few months
and now when we try to connect it we receive an error.

The Windows XP box can see the Wireless network SSID, but when one attempts
to connect you get this error:

http://home.people.net.au/~itechnique/err.jpg

It states that your computer is configured NOT to connect to access point
networks and as such it will not connect! It asks you to change the wireless
preferences so that you CAN connect to infrastructure (access point) networks.

I have configured the machine to connect to either of the two. I've tried
ad-hoc only, infrastructure only, or both - however this PC still thinks it's
configured to connect to ad-hoc only.

I've googled the error message but have not found anything. Has anyone come
across this problem before?

TIA
