Windows XP version

I want to download the program that prevents "messenger
pop-ups" from popping up (not msn messenger...I get the
difference)but as usual nothing is easy. It seems I have
to have XP SP1. I've looked under properties and it
shows it as just plain XP...BUT if I look at all the
windows updates that have been installed it looks as
though the SP1 has been added in multiple updates. So..I
can't figure out if I need to add the SP1 patch or not.
Would the main Windows properties reflect that I had SP1
or does it just display the original program no matter
what?
