Windows XP Validation

A few months ago I validated my Win Xp. Since then every time I try to
download a non-critical file I have to validate Windows again.

I thought that once I validated my Windows I wouldn't have to validate
again. This is a real pain.

Can someone explain why this is happening?

Thanks,

Paul

Microsoft's "Windows Genuine Advantage's" automated process is deeply
flawed. I've one WinXP Home machine that passes validation when it's
performed manually, but consistently fails the validation check during
software update/patch installations. And my WinXPx64 system isn't even
recognized as a Microsoft operating system by the WGA validation
process. Both licenses are legitimate.

I have been working with Microsoft to get this issue resolved, but no
joy, yet.
