30 days to validate

Reinstalled XP Personal last month. Since day one I have received the message
upon logging in that I need to validate. Counting down from 30 days.
I clicked validate and then the Validation page would give me the message
that Windows was already validated click OK and exit. This was fine until now
the 30th day. Now I get the message. click validate, get the message that
Windows is already validated and then get logged off and loops right back to
windows needs validated.
Help!

Andrew,
Thank you, but as I said before the validation just logs me off even in safe
mode. Therefore I have not been able to get in even in safe mode. Still
asking me to validate and then shows the windows is validated and then logs
me back off and then tells me to activate again.
Any other ideas?
Still Need Help.

Why did you reinstall Windows? Did you do a Repair Install or a format &
reinstall?

Are you an a_ _?
XP Home is often called personal.

Perhaps it is in the circles you frequent, but I can tell you that I
have *never* heard that terminology or seen it in writing anywhere.

If I were responding to a message in which you used that term, I would
*guess* that XP Home was what you meant, but I would certainly
question it to make sure that my guess was correct.

Thank you for your response.
Perhaps you are correct, with my tech support friends we have often used the
term Personal for Home. And yes if you didn't know the term you normally
would suspect that i meant Home.

Humm, XP Home has been on the market almost 6 years and this is the
first time I've heard it referred to as "personal". I'd say "often" is a
bit of a stretch. Especially since it is almost always set to
auto-login, so whomever presses the power button can use it, makes it
more "public" than "personal"!

So, I guess we have all the time in the world to just Banter this back and
forth.
Personal as in Home use versus XP Pro as in "Professional".

I do not need anymore responses to this, if the responding parties don't
want to try and help, why respond at all.

thank you to all who did attempt to help me.

So after a hard day at work do you go PERSONAL?

Does a baseball run score after they cross PERSONAL base?

NO NO NO.

There is not now, nor has there EVER been, and XP PERSONAL version.

Use proper nomenclature, please.

And we're happy for ya.

When asking a question in a technical group it's important that you
use the group's terminology, not you and your "friends" colloquail
terminology.
