I upgraded my Windows 98 to XP yesterday and will not
recognize my modem Intel V92 HaM Data Fax Voice. I tried
everything and talked to my provider ACS with no help. I
uninstalled XP and put in 98 which works fine. I've paid
for XP so would like to use it. Tried to upgrade my modem
drivers but intel website says I have to go to a
manufacturer and it doesn't list that. Tried Microsoft
help but they want a product number, not eh product key.
Since I uninstalled XP I have no product code and they
don't recognize my Windows 98 code. Can anyone help me or
should I just return XP to Costco and forget it?????

I Actually had the same problem before only with a
different modem. I Went to www.driverguide.com and
downloaded the most recommended driver for the specific
modem I searched for and it fix the problem. you could try
that.
