Windows XP Updates & Outlook

Yesterday, I downloaded Security Updates as recommended by Microsoft for
various programs. After dowloading the updates, my Outlook Email was updated
to the point hat it appears as a totally new program. Everything that I
previously had in Outlook (existing emails, saved email files, address book)
have disappeared. Is there a way to restore all of my emails and folders
while keeping the new version? Had I known that I was going to lose
everything, I would have saved some of the files and info elsewhere first.

Updates will not update OL other than security settings, and it wont change
the version.
What version of Outlook do you have? see Help/About within the program
