How do I UNSTALL an update XP 5.1.2600 Service Pack 1.

Norton Antivirus can't install " Common Client Core 1.0.2
because of the update.

I think above is keeping some items from being scanned
automatically.
 
Go to Control Panel and select Add or Remove programs.
You should find all of the updates listed there. Select
the one you want and highlight it and remove it>
