Hi,

I am trying to install windows XP with SP2 to 1500 new PCs, I am
thinking of using the Sysprep with a disk cloning software, but I
couldn't find a SW that copies the image to a CD, then I can either
boor from a disk and instal from the CD or just boot from the CD and
finish there. Does anyone have any suggestion?

Thanks

I install Windows XP Pro, applications and do all of the settings for the
users. I usually take about a day or two to do the initial install and
configurations.
Then I sysprep the system & shut down. Put in cd for drive image 6.0 and
boot into it to create the image (you will need a seperate paritition to wrte
the image to). Then I boot the system up, copy the image I created to a USB
drive. You can also copy the image to a network drive(s) but the USB drive
is so much faster to use. This can be cloned to multiple drives as needed.
I then boot the PC I want to install the image to using drive image 7.0 which
can be set to use network drives or will automatically find USB drives (if
they are connected to PC), takes about 10-15 minutes per PC. If you have a
small network set up using Gigabit networking this will enable you to do
multiple installs over the network.
