Windows XP theme trouble

The folder icons aren't the default windows icon they are another icon of a
theme I downloaded I removed the theme, but the folders,logon, and logoff
pages are all the other theme, not windows Xp. I want to get my folders and
the logon and logoff pages back to the windows Xp default settings how do I
do this?
 
have you tired making the changes you want from within the 'disply' folder?
go to control panel/display/
