Windows XP Tablet PC and Sony dvd rw conflict!

I was wondering if someone could help me with the
installation of the sony dvd +-rw Model DRX-500ULX to our
tablet PC. When I connected the dvdrw to the Compaq
Tablet PC it gives an error message saying the "device
can not start" (Code 10)"

The dvdrw works fine with the desktop I have with winxp.
It just does not work with the tablet pc. Did the winxp
tablet pc people mess up on this driver or is there a
problem with the dvdrw itself?

Any help will be greatly appreciated!
