windows XP Sp2 Bottable CD

Hi,

I made a bootable cd for xp sp2 using the information provided by Will Denny
MS-MVP and I would like to thank for him.

I just have a question for him. As you mentioned I needed the Product Key
to make the bootable cd. I made the Cd using my desktop computer and tried
it in my both computers and it works fine with both of them. Do you think
still I need to make another one for my Laptop (as the windows xp PK is
different) or this will do the work?

As well I would like to thank for this website:
http://www.msfn.org/articles.php?action=show&showarticle=49

for the providing the nlite software to make the bootable Cd.

regards

I cannot speak for Will Denny, but I found this WEB site that might solve
your problem with the RockXP program.
http://www.korben.tk/
RockXP allows you to retrieve and change your XP product key that you used
when you installed Windows XP. This can come very handy if you need to
reinstall but have misplaced or lost the CD cover with the serial sticker.
In addition, the program also lets you save the product activation to a
file, enables you to recover usernames and passwords contained in the
Windows Secure Storage, recover your Microsoft Windows Products keys and
have password generator

The Product Key is checked by the Setup program of the CD and must be
acceptable to that. It is likely that a Laptop that came with XP
installed has a different Series CD - an OEM one - and you will then
need to make a CD from that series to accept its PK
