Is there a definitive way to get scanner wizard up and running again?
I have a Packard Bell Diamond Scanner which isn't being recognised and no
scanner wizard. Are there are any plans for a rescue "patch" for thicko's
like me, or is there a solution to my problem?

Hi,
I have the same scanner and had the same problem.
PB does not make the scanner.
So they do not care.
But this works.(if you need I can send the correct driver by email)

1) Install the Scanner driver as normal from PB or disc (v1.1)
2) Download the Mustek Driver from
http://www.mustek.com/download/driv_scanr/english/b1200cuplus.html
3) Double click to extract it to a folder (Select a folder that you can
remmember)
4) Go to Control Panel > System > Hardware > Device Manager > Imaging
Devices and manually update the driver by double clicking on your scanner
name - selecting the driver tab at the top of the scanner properties - Click
on Update Driver - and select “No, not this time†then next, and select
“Install or from a list or specified location†Now Browse to the folder where
you have extracted the Updated Driver and the Scanner now scans in Windows XP
SP2

Good luck.

3rd Try, I have a Agfa ScanWise for USB scanner v. 1.05. Every since I
installed windows EX Pro, I can't get it to scanner at all. When I try to
scan the image is like a rainbow. I contact the manufacture and they no
longer make my scanner. The light comes on. When I reinstall the original
software is indicates that it is not compatible.

Says something like 16 bit dos not compatible.

Any help would be most welcome.

Thanks.

Hi Colin, still having trouble. Would be so kind as to sent me the driver.

Please send it to (e-mail address removed)

Thanks.
Dennis
